Open Water Swimming Coach Angie Ferguson Trains Athletes to Compete in Ironman World Championship Race
Open Water Swimming Coach Angie Ferguson, announces that four of her athletes qualified and competed in the Ironman 70.3 World Championship Race on November 13th in Clearwater, FL.
FORT MYERS, FL, December 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Open Water Swimming Coach Angie Ferguson of Geared Up Multi-sport Specialists, is pleased to announce that four of her athletes qualified and competed in the Ironman 70.3 World Championship Race on November 13th in Clearwater, FL. Geared Up would like to congratulate John Gamba, Jason Gunter, Lis Hechmann, and Ashley Naelon, who competed alongside 1,500 other athletes in this world renowned competition. All four athletes trained under team leader and coach Angie Ferguson.
"This is really such an accomplishment for all these athletes," said Ferguson. "They've worked hard and put in the sweat, time, and effort. To see them rise to the pinnacle of their sport is very rewarding. I couldn't be more proud!"
The 2010 Ironman 70.3 World Championship Race marked the 5th year of a triathlon race that has exploded all over the world. This international recognition was evident at this year's race in Clearwater, FL, with more than 60 countries represented. The race has historically been held in Clearwater, but will be moving to Lake Las Vegas for next year's event.
